Krispie Pecan Cookies - A family recipe!
When the Holidays came around, my grandmother took to baking. One of our favorites was her Krispie Pecan Cookies!
She should make them by the dozens and leave them on the counter. We snacked on them all day everyday when we were at her home.
I hope you enjoy them as much as my family did.
For these cookies, you'll need the following ingredients:
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of uncooked oats
- 1 cub of rice krispies
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 cup of nuts
First, cream your sugar and shortening. Then add your beaten eggs and mix together
Sift the baking soda and powder with flour and add to the mixture, then add the remaining ingredients.
Put it in the refrigerator overnight.
Drop onto a cookie sheet 1/2 of a teaspoonful at a time and Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
These cookies will keep for several months if you store them in a tight container, bringing you and your family a joyous snack throughout the holiday season!
